Project outline:

The purpose of the Whitsunday Forestry Interest Group was to promote farm forestry in the Whitsunday region. The project involved conducting property visits to discuss species selection, soils, and other silvicultural (forestry) practices. The field days acted as a forum to discuss small scale forestry issues and provide training for interested landholders.

Raised awareness of farm forestry
Provided local knowledge to interested landholders
