Project outline:

This project involved students from Proserpine State High School. Members of the 'Sweet As' farming program undertook a Certificate in Conservation and Land Management through Qld Agricultural College. On-ground training was provided by WCL and High School staff, with students carrying out revegetation and weed control works on the Proserpine River. Students' activities were recorded by their peers on video. A DVD was produced by students as a record of the NRM works carried out by students. This was put on display in the foyer of the Whitsunday Shire Council as well as given to local groups such as Youth Space and PCYC to encourage young people to become involved in NRM activities.
