Proserpine and Gregory Rivers Erosion and Vegetation Condition Assessment (1999 - 1999)

Main proponent:     WRICMA
Cash funding:   NHT, WRICMA
Other proponents:   Qld Department of Natural Resources
In kind funding:   WRICMA, Whitsunday Shire Council

Project outline:

The Proserpine and Gregory River Catchment study was prepared by Chris Aylward and Phil Trendell for the Whitsunday Rivers Integrated Catchment Management Association (WRICMA) in response to the need for baseline data relating to the ecological health of the Proserpine and Gregory River systems. Prior research undertaken for the Proserpine River Improvement Trust Strategic Management Plan (Willing and Partners, 1994) included the Proserpine and Gregory River catchments, however this report provides a more detailed account of the status of riparian vegetation and erosion in the Proserpine and Gregory River catchments.

Project achievements and outcomes:

Vegetation surveys of Proserpine and Gregory River
Publication of the Proserpine and Gregory River Vegetation and Erosion Assessment
