Green Corps: Support of the Central Qld Coast Revegetation Project (2002 - 2002)

Project outline:

The purpose of the 2002 Proserpine Green Corps team was to support the Central Queensland Coast Revegetation Project. The objectives of the project included the planting of at least 10,000 seedlings, control of weeds in 2 ha, fencing 1 km of creek and numerous local community projects. The project was coordinated by CVA and WRICMA.

Project achievements and outcomes:

12,500 seedlings planted
2 ha of weeds controlled
1 km of creek fenced
numerous community projects assisted including work at the Airlie Beach PCYC and community resource centre.
