Medium to large spreading deciduous tree. Pioneer species.

Leaf:Compound Alternate

Bipinnate to sometimes tripinnate leaves. Dark green opposite leaflets, with toothed to entire margins, turning bright yellow in autumn.

Flower colour: White to lilac
Flower description:Perfumed flowers 2cm in diameter have five lilac petals and purple staminal tubes borne in large auxillary sprays in spring.
Fruit conspicuous: Conspicuous
Fruit colour: Yellow
Fruit: Fleshy
Fruit description: Ovoid yellowish pulpy fruits 1-1.5cm long, contain one hard stone and persist on the tree after leaves fall.
Habitat:Rainforest,Gallery (Riverine or riparian) forest,Beach Scrub/Littoral Rainforest
Distribution:From north eastern Qld to southern NSW.
Food source for:Cockatoos
